| Q.
- Can I email you a picture of a plate I need restored? A. - Yes,
and a picture of both sides, please. If there is any damage on the plate, a good
close-up shot is necessary to accurately
quote repair costs. Please keep your pictures
less than 1 mg. A file size of 640 by 480 is fine.
NOTE:
If you have written to me and haven't received an email back, please check your
SPAM or BULK folder. Occasionally
good emails get received there due to some spam filters. Q.
- I have a one of a kind plate that must have been buried in the ground.
Half of it is missing, and the other half is total rust. Is there anything that
can be done with a license plate in this
condition? A. - Yes. No matter how far gone your
plate is, it can be repaired to a displayable condition.
I refer all the serious repair work to my partner, Mike Forbes, who also does
a very nice repaint. This
guy can perform miracles with a license plate. On plates that we collaborate on,
once repaired, it is sent to me for repainting.

Mike's work. Q.
- What are your restoration procedures? A.
- For examples, click
here. Q.
- Can I get a progress report while you're working on my plates? A. - Feel
free to email me anytime while your
plate is in my possession. I will email you pictures
once the plate is blasted, and when it is finished. Q.
- What other collectables do you restore? A. - Tag toppers
start at $80, license plate frames run about $60 each, and embossed highway
signs run $110 and up. Q.
- I can't find your mailing address on your website. How come?
A. - I prefer you first contact me through email,
opposed to just mailing a plate unannounced.
It's for your protection as well as mine. Q.
- OK, I'm ready for you to do a few plates for me. What now?
PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR
PLATES PACKED IN STYROFOAM PEANUTS! A. - You
can send your plates by whichever carrier is most convenient. When I
email you a picture of the finished plate, we can settle up then before I mail
them back. |
